LCHS Adoption Procedure

Here is our adoption procedure. This document outlines the basic steps involved in adopting an animal from us. We are comitted to fighting the epidemic of pet overpopulation by insisting every animal be spayed or neutered, either by us (in some cases) or by the prospective adopter.

LCHS Animal Surrender Procedure

We understand that there are some times in life when pet owners are forced to give up their animals. While there are other options, sometimes surrendering an animal to the shelter is the only option available. Please read about our animal surrender policy and procedure.

LCHS Board of Directors Application

This is the application form used to be considered for a Lincoln County Humane Society Board of Directors position.

We currently have two Director positions open and are seeking interested candidates to serve on our Board and help the Humane Society grow and serve the needs of our community.

LCHS Business Plan

This PDF file is the most recent version of our 5-year Business Plan. The goal of the plan is to achieve financial health by the year 2012. This document outlines how we intend to acomplish this goal. You will see that we have quite a large budget shortfall from previous years that we need to overcome.  You will also notice that municipal funding makes up a very small portion of our operating budget. Our success rests in the hands of our community. We need to concentrate more on adoptions, memberships, animal sponsorships, and licensing compliance. At the same time, we need to increase efficiences, reduce expenses, and keep payroll in check.

LCHS Euthanasia Policy

This is the Lincoln County Humane Society Euthanasia policy. The Board of Directors felt it important to put this document out there for people to download and understand our mission, which is to "strive to be a no-kill facility." We hope that this document will help increase understanding of what our organization is trying to accomplish.

LCHS Foster Contract & Guidelines

Foster families are very important to the LCHS. Fostering means taking care of an adoptable animal in your home until it is adopted. Fostering is a great way to socialize and normalize many adoptable animals that would quickly deteriorate in a shelter environment. We are very greateful and indebted to our foster families. If you would be interested in fostering an animal, please check out this document and give us a call!
