Welcome to the Lincoln County Humane Society!

The Lincoln County Humane Society is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty and abuse to animals, birds and wildlife.

We strive to maintain a No-Kill facility; a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals; a temporary home for the homeless; a haven for the mistreated, neglected or abused animals of Lincoln County and surrounding counties.

We are open from 12-5pm Monday-Friday, and 12-4pm on Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays.

Upcoming rabies clinics!
March 09, 2010

Remember! You must have proof of rabies vaccine in order to buy your 2010 dog license. All dogs in the county must be licensed by March 31, 2010. Here are some reduced-cost rabies clinics we are aware of so far:

March 16, from 6:00 - 7:00 PM at the Town of Russell Fire Station, Hwy 17 in Gleason. Proceeds benefit the Prairie Eagles 4-H Club.

March 20, from 10:00 - 2:00 pm at the Merrill Town Hall, Hwy K. Best Friends Animal Care Center will donate the proceeds of this clinic to the LCHS Staff Education Fund.

HAS ANYONE SEEN RUSTY???
March 03, 2010

PLEASE HELP!

One of our employees recently adopted Rusty, a long-haired flame point Siamese. He slipped out of his new home near Brokaw last night, and his new owner is frantic! Rusty is wearing a collar. If you have seen him, please call his owner at 715-571-2051 or the Lincoln County Humane Society at 715-536-3459 ASAP!

Thank you for your help!

Thanks, Trinity Lutheran School!
March 02, 2010

This is a picture of some of the students from Trinity Lutheran School in Merrill with the donations that were collected in our weekly chapel services.

Most of the students are from Ms. Schult's 4th grade class and brought in a lot of great supplies for the animals calling the Lincoln County Humane Society their temporary home.

Thanks, Trinity Lutheran School!

Fun at the 2nd Annual "Tumble in the Tundra!"
February 28, 2010

Saturday, Febraury 27 was the 2nd annual "Tumble in the Tundra' charity mudwrestling event, sponsored by the Tomahawk Lions. Ten teams wrestled, and all the proceeds of the event went to various local charities. A great time was had by all, and one of the most entertaining parts of the evening was all the creative costuming and themes the wrestlers came up with!

LCHS was lucky enough to have two teams wrestling for us!

The first team was Rachel Reyes, Holly Carr, and Meka Pennington from Holly's Bar.

The second team was "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly." Shown here are Ashley Bentley (the Ugly), Kerby Timm (The Bad) and Lacey Kall (The Good).
